tonight marks the 3rd anniversary of the ezidi genocide. thousands of women, children and men were abducted, enslaved and/or executed. 420,000 ezidis were forced to flee. there are still more than 3,000 women and children in captivity. we will never forget.
tonight marks the 4th anniversary of the ezidi genocide which is still ongoing. thousands of ezidis remain in captivity and many of those children with no idea of who they are. over 350,000 ezidis remain in idp camps, their homeland is neither demined nor rebuilt.
let us not forget that 11,000 kurdish soldiers and their 200 commanders, who were supposed to defend the ezidis, ran away, and they even prevented ezidis from leaving their villages before running away. the kurdish regional government still continues to conceal the commanders‘ complicity in the ezidi genocide.
