Because the dudes try to use brute strength, and the girls know better. You can’t swing a katana like a broadsword; it has no heft to it. It’s essentially a really long razor blade. When you’re using a katana, you’re not only applying downward force, but you’re pulling your center of gravity back. It creates an arc.
