Damn get off your high horses for real like….Uruguay is 192838 times more socially advanced than the US……that’s just like….the facts… USA is not synonym for development especially socially speaking yall are just rich.

It’s not even a joke anymore this usacentrism is annoying af. Uruguay has been a pioneer for social rights since forever, and just go and have a look at our worker rights or immigration laws or social welfare plans and you’ll notice….

But Uruguay has been more progressive than the US since 1830 damn just bc were in South America it doesn’t mean we’re underdeveloped……I can assure you the south cone has by far more progressive laws than the US a lot of times, like Argentina or Brazil whom also have paid by the state sex change operations for trans ppl, free college and health care and were same sex marriage has been legal since years before the US legalized it.
