everyone please check out the #WeWantJustice tag on tumblr and Twitter the situation in Bangladesh is extremely dangerous and high school students are getting brutally beaten up by a government controlled student league while the police do nothing or join the violence. Students have been raped and some have died. The government recently kidnapped a well known photographer who was interviewed by aljazeera and is trying to censor all media in hopes that the situation doesn’t get recognized internationally. They cut off mobile data services and slowed down wifi (not sure if this is across the country or just in certain areas of Dhaka because I’m currently on vacation visiting my family who live close to where this all began, but this is what I know so far)
please spread the wordsituation is getting worse and audio had been leaked of the student league (Bangladesh Chaatro League) getting orders to beat every student they see – can’t provide a source for this because all media against the govt has been suppressed, but the clip is spreading through Facebook in Bangladesh
